The students of the 7th and 8th grade at the Latin School participate in the National Latin Examination every year. The test was given in February, and our Latin students did very well. Many students received awards for their achievement, and Mrs. Howe, Miss Watson, and Mrs. Zabala are very proud of their students.
In particular, we had several students achieve perfect scores on the National Latin Examination. From the 7th grade, Timothy DeMaro, Vincent Fariello, Natalie Jean-Michel, and Madeline Lay achieved perfect exams. Only 447 students out of 19,900 who participated from 21 countries attained this distinction! From the 8th grade, Faith Agolia, Ismenia Ginebra, and Kimberly Lores also had perfect exams. Only 1,833 out of over 140,000 students from around the world had perfect scores.
Congratulations to these students as well as all of our Latin students who earned certificates on the 2014 National Latin Exam!
